— Though knowing all that books can teach, 'tis truest tactTo follow common sense of men in act
நூலறிவால் செயலைச் செய்யும் வகைகளைச் அறிந்த போதிலும் உலகத்தின் இயற்கையை அறிந்து அதனோடு பொருந்துமாறு செய்யவேண்டும்.
பல்வேறு மொழி நாட்டு நூல்களின் வழி, புதிய செயல் திறங்களை அறிந்திருந்தாலும், தன் நாட்டின் இயற்கை மக்கள் இயல்பு ஆகியவற்றை அறிந்து அவற்றிற்கு ஏற்பச் செய்க.
செயலாற்றல் பற்றிய நூலறிவைப் பெற்றிருந்தாலும், உலக நடைமுறைகளை உணர்ந்து பார்த்தே அதற்கேற்றவாறு அச்செயல்களை நிறைவேற்ற வேண்டும்
