அன்றே மறப்பது நன்று.

To forget good turns is not good Good it is over wrong not to brood
— 'Tis never good to let the thought of good things done thee pass away;Of things not good, 'tis good to rid thy memory that very day
ஒருவரர்முன்செய்த நன்மையை மறப்பது அறம் அன்று; அவர் செய்த தீமையைச் செய்த அப்பொழுதே மறந்து விடுவது அறம்.
ஒருவன் நமக்குச் செய்த உதவியை மறப்பது அறம் அன்று; அவன் செய்த தீமையை அப்போதே மறப்பது அறம்
ஒருவர் நமக்குச் செய்த நன்மையை மறப்பது நல்லதல்ல; அவர் தீமை செய்திருந்தால் அதை மட்டும் அக்கணமே மறந்து விடுவது நல்லது
