தெரிந்து செயல்வகை
Acting after due Consideration
எள்ளாத எண்ணிச் செயல்வேண்டும் தம்மோடு
கொள்ளாத கொள்ளாது உலகு.

Do deeds above reproachfulness The world refutes uncomely mess
— Plan and perform no work that others may despise;What misbeseems a king the world will not approve as wise
தம் நிலையோடு பொருந்தாதவற்றை உலகம் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாது, ஆகையால் உலகம் இகழ்ந்து தள்ளாத செயல்களை ஆராய்ந்து செய்ய வேண்டும்.
தன் தகுதிக்குப் பொருந்தாத வழிமுறைகளைச் செய்தால் மக்கள் அதை இகழ்வர்; அதனால் மக்கள் இகழாத வழிமுறைகளை எண்ணிச் செய்ய வேண்டும்.
தம்முடைய நிலைமைக்கு மாறான செயல்களை உயர்ந்தோர் பாராட்டமாட்டார்கள் என்பதால், அவர்கள் பழித்துரைக்காத செயல்களையே செய்திடல் வேண்டும்
Let a man reflect, and do things which bring no reproach; the world will not approve, with him, of things which do not become of his position to adopt
