Acting after due Consideration
தெளிவி லதனைத் தொடங்கார் இளிவென்னும்
ஏதப்பாடு அஞ்சு பவர்.

They who scornful reproach fear Commence no work not made clear
— A work of which the issue is not clear,Begin not they reproachful scorn who fear
இழிவு தருவதாகியக் குற்றத்திற்கு அஞ்சுகின்றவர் (இன்ன ஊதியம் பயிக்கும் என்னும்) தெளிவு இல்லாத செயலைத் தொடங்கமாட்டார்.
தனக்கு அவமானம் என்னும் குற்றம் வரும் என்று பயப்படுபவர், நம்பிக்கை இல்லாத செயலைச் செய்யத் தொடங்கமாட்டார்.
களங்கத்துக்குப் பயப்படக் கூடியவர்கள்தான் விளைவுகளை எண்ணிப் பார்த்து அந்தக் களங்கம் தரும் காரியத்தில் இறங்காமல் இருப்பார்கள்
Those who fear reproach will not commence anything which has not been (thoroughly considered) and made clear to them
