காதலராகிய அவரோடு யான் பொருந்தியிருந்த நாட்களை நினைத்துக் கொள்வதால்தான் உயிரோடு இருக்கின்றேன்; வேறு எதனால் உயிர் வாழ்கின்றேன்?
அவரோடு கூடி வாழ்ந்த நாள்களின் நினைவுகளை நினைப்பதால்தான் நான் இன்னும் உயிர் வாழ்கிறேன். இல்லை என்றால், வேறு எதனால் வாழ்வேன்?
நான் அவரோடு சேர்ந்திருந்த நாட்களை நினைத்துத் தான் உயிரோடு இருக்கிறேன்; வேறு எதை நினைத்து நான் உயிர்வாழ முடியும்?
I live by remembering my (former) intercourse with him; if it were not so, how could I live ?
