நன்னீரை வாழி அனிச்சமே நின்னினும்
மென்னீரள் யாம்வீழ் பவள்.

Soft blessed anicha flower, hail On whom I dote is softer still
— O flower of the sensitive plant! than theeMore tender's the maiden beloved by me
அனிச்சப்பூவே நல்ல மென்மை தன்மை பெற்றிறுக்கின்றாய், நீ வாழ்க, யாம் விரும்பும் காதலி உன்னை விட மெல்லியத் தன்மை கொண்டவள்.
அனிச்சம் பூவே! நீ எல்லாப் பூக்களிலுமே மென்மையால் சிறந்த இயல்பை உடையை வாழ்ந்து போ! ஒன்று உனக்குத் தெரியுமா? என்னால் விரும்பப்படும் என் மனைவி உன்னைக் காட்டிலும் மென்மையானவள்!
அனிச்ச மலரின் மென்மையைப் புகழ்ந்து பாராட்டுகிறேன்; ஆனால் அந்த மலரைவிட மென்மையானவள் என் காதலி
