அசையியற்கு உண்டாண்டோர் ஏஎர்யான் நோக்கப்
பசையினள் பைய நகும்.

What a grace the slim maid has! As I look she slightly smiles
— I gaze, the tender maid relents the while;And, oh the matchless grace of that soft smile
யான் நோக்கும் போது அதற்காக அன்பு கொண்டவனாய் மெல்லச் சிரிப்பாள், அசையும் மெல்லிய இயல்பை உடைய அவளுக்கு அப்போது ஓர் அழகு உள்ளது.
யாரோ எவரோ போல அவள் பேசிய பின்பும் நான் அவளைப் பார்க்க, அவள் மனம் நெகிழ்ந்து மனத்திற்குள் மெல்ல சிரித்தாள்; அச்சிரிப்பிலும் அவளுக்கு ஏதோ ஒரு குறிப்பு இருப்பது தெரிகிறது.
நான் பார்க்கும் போது என் மீது பரிவு கொண்டவளாக மெல்லச் சிரிப்பாள்; அப்போது, துவளுகின்ற அந்தத் துடியிடையாள் ஒரு புதிய பொலிவுடன் தோன்றுகிறாள்
