Tamilcube Star Junior – Data Deletion

Tamilcube Star Junior — Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your account and any associated data for the Tamilcube Star Junior app on the App Store and Google Play. Junior is published by Tamilcube (Comsys Technologies Pte Ltd, Singapore). For our full privacy policy, see tamilcube.com/privacy/.

Junior itself does not create accounts — it has no native sign-up flow and stores nothing about you on Tamilcube’s servers. There are three places your data can live in connection with Junior, and each has its own deletion path:

  1. Your Tamilcube Academy account, if you signed in
  2. Your in-app purchase records, if you bought a level
  3. Anything you sent us by email

We respond to deletion requests within 14 days. For any question, email support@tamilcube.com.

1. Deleting your Tamilcube Academy account

Junior offers an optional sign-in to an existing Tamilcube Academy account (academy.tamilcube.com) so that your Academy-purchased levels unlock automatically in the app. If you used this sign-in, your account lives on the Academy website, not inside Junior.

To delete your Academy account:

  1. Open academy.tamilcube.com/account/ in any browser and sign in with your Academy email and password.
  2. Go to the Account Settings page.
  3. Use the Delete Account option (standard WordPress account-deletion flow). Confirm.

Once the Academy account is deleted, the next time Junior refreshes its entitlement state (foreground, restart, or pull-to-refresh on the Parent tab), all Academy-granted levels disappear from the app. Levels you bought directly in the app via Apple or Google remain unlocked — those are separate purchases tied to your App Store / Play account, not your Academy account.

What gets deleted: your Academy username, email, password hash, subscription records, course progress on Academy, and any Tamil-school enrolment metadata. What stays: nothing in Junior’s app sandbox is linked to your Academy account, so there’s nothing Academy-specific left in the app to clean up.

2. Deleting your in-app purchase records

Junior offers three one-time in-app purchases — N2, K1, and K2 Tamil lesson packs — processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play (depending on your device) through our payment intermediary RevenueCat, Inc. Purchase records are tied to your Apple ID or Google Play account, not to a Tamilcube account.

Apple App Store (iOS / iPadOS):

  • Open the Settings app on your device.
  • Tap your name at the top → Media & PurchasesView AccountPurchase History.
  • Locate the Tamilcube Star Junior purchase. Use Report a Problem to request a refund. To remove the purchase history entirely, you can delete your Apple ID via privacy.apple.com.

Google Play (Android):

  • Open the Google Play Store app → tap your profile picture → Payments & subscriptionsBudget & history.
  • Locate the Tamilcube Star Junior purchase. To request a refund or removal, contact Google Play support from the purchase entry.
  • To remove purchase history entirely, you can delete your Google Account at myaccount.google.com.

RevenueCat (our payment intermediary): RevenueCat retains anonymous purchase metadata (an opaque per-install identifier, product IDs, transaction IDs, purchase dates, country code) for accounting compliance. Tamilcube can request deletion of your RevenueCat record on your behalf — email support@tamilcube.com with the approximate date of purchase and the device platform (iOS / Android). We forward the request to RevenueCat and confirm completion within 14 days.

3. Deleting anything you sent us by email

If you have written to support@tamilcube.com — for feedback, bug reports, or refund questions — we keep your email and any information you chose to include, in order to respond and to keep a reasonable business record. To request deletion of those emails, reply to any past thread or write a new email to support@tamilcube.com asking us to delete your correspondence. We confirm completion within 14 days.

4. What is deleted vs kept

Data category Deleted on request? Retention if you don’t request deletion
On-device data (lesson progress, streaks, settings, stickers, cached entitlement state) Removed automatically when you uninstall the app from your device Persists in the app’s local sandbox until uninstall
Tamilcube Academy account (optional sign-in) Yes — via the Academy website (§1 above) Indefinitely, until you delete it
Apple / Google purchase records Yes — via Apple ID / Google Account deletion (§2 above) Per Apple’s / Google’s own retention policies
RevenueCat anonymous purchase metadata Yes — on email request to Tamilcube (§2 above) Up to 7 years for accounting compliance, then deleted automatically
Email correspondence with Tamilcube Yes — on email request to support@tamilcube.com (§3 above) Indefinitely, for business records
Lesson content interaction (what your child tapped, listened to, traced) N/A — never collected, never transmitted N/A
Advertising or analytics data N/A — the app has no ad SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and uses no advertising identifiers N/A

5. Other deletion or data-access requests

For any other request — a copy of all data we hold about you, a Singapore PDPA access request, or a deletion request that doesn’t fit the three paths above — email support@tamilcube.com. Include enough detail for us to identify your account or purchase (Academy email, purchase date and platform, etc.). We respond within 14 days.
